Vidya Counseling Centre started in 2011 with the objective to spread awareness about mental health and providing counseling services to people in need. We believe that working on issues is not enough but focusing on the preventive level is also equally important.

M.A. in psychology, Diploma in ART based therapy ( ABT), Advanced course in REBT( rational emotional behavior therapy)

After marriage, she shifted to Mumbai in 2005. This city gave her big horizon in the field of Counselling. She got an opportunity to work with MDACS in the field of HIV Counselling. There she worked with number of pregnant women and their husbands. Then she got opportunity in the NGO named CCDT. She got project in Kamathipura area of Mumbai. There she saw a world of commercial sex workers. Counselling of those women was challenging and helped her to develop her skills and being non-judgmental.

After that project she started her own private practice in 2011 under the banner of Vidya Counseling Centre. At the same time, she joined the Badalapur project of CCDT. This project of HIV infected and affected adolescent girls enabled her to understand and tackle child and youth issues, their behavior problems. This experience taught her that as a psychologist, she needs to work on preventive level too while addressing their current problems.

After pursuing master’s degree in psychology, she worked as Lecturer for Degree course in Psychology in Sangameshwar College, Solapur. During same period, she taught degree students of Yashvantarao Chavan Open University ( YCMOU) for 3 years.

After working for more than 7 years with CCDT, she took new challenge in the field of children conflict with law by joining NGO named Ashiyana. As sr. psychologist, she worked in Dongari Observation Home. Children below 18 who were accused in any kind of crime, needs counselling for transformation. Here she started trusting every person deserves second chance. There after, she also worked with victims of child trafficking and child abuse in Ulhasnagar government home. Currently she is working as Consultant with Ashiyana and working in Bhiwandi Observation Home. Also working with NGO Sneha for staff counselling.
